This course is designed for high school students to understand, communicate, and
adapt to a digital world as it impacts their personal life, society, and the business world.
Exposure to foundational knowledge in hardware, software, programming, web design, IT support, and networks are all taught in a computer lab with hands-on activities and projectfocused tasks. Students will not only understand the concepts, but apply their knowledge to situations and defend their actions/decisions/choices through the knowledge and skills acquired
in this course.

Classroom Expectations:
Be on time, bring required materials, be on task, be courteous/respectful to others, no food or drinks in the lab, and take care of personal business between classes.
Be respectful of all lab equipment! Follow all lab use rules. These are not your personal computers or tablets and are monitored at all times.

Principles & Concepts of Animation

Course Description: Introduction to Animation and 3d Design is a foundations course that serves as an introduction to the animation and 3d design industry. Emphasis is placed on career awareness, fundamentals of modeling, storyboard creation, cameras and lighting. Students will learn how 3d technology is used for film, broadcast and games and how it is rapidly becoming the medium of choice for industrial design, military simulations, and medical visualization.

Course Description:
In this course students will continue working in 2-D and 3-D environments by importing 3- D models while working in 3-D space morphing, and inverse kinematics. While learning the basics of Game and APP design.. In the final phases of the project completion, students will work collaboratively to meet deadlines and will be expected to produce an animated final project that reflects competency with editing, rendering, updating reel, and self-promotional support items. Students may also develop a working game or app as a final project. Through the exploration of projects, students will continue to work independently and collaboratively to develop content delivery, story and technical mastery.

Attendance Policy:
Refer to school system policy. Students are responsible to obtain makeup work upon return. Most assignments will be posted to Edmodo. Being tardy to class without an excused form from a teacher or administrator will result in loss of exam exemption even the first time! Subsequent tardiness will result in additional disciplinary action.
Make-up and Late Work Policy:
Students will be required to attend class on a daily basis. Students must turn in all work on the assigned due date. Late work will not be accepted after 3 days and 11 points will be subjected from the grade daily. No extra credit is given.
